I'm trying to figure out where my mind palace should be...obviously, the place I know best would be my own house, or possibly the school, but I would really like to have a place far more grand than that...
Perhaps I should use Hogwarts, I do know that place very well from my countless re-readings of the series, but that makes me feel like a copycat (even though it's a good fit). Considering I probably wouldn't be going there very much until school, I actually do have quite a bit of time to familiarize myself with a very grand place...I'm thinking Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace. I'm edging towards Buckingham palace.
Happy Today!

Ohhhh, new look...
So apparently, Blogger has a new layout look! Although, this could literally be several months old considering I haven't updated this blog in about that long. I'd post a screenshot, but that sounds like a lot of work.
Anyway, it's summer...Several days ago, actually. And I still don't have time to "chill" (as the young people say these days) since I'm just too darn busy studying for the SAT next Saturday...Oh well, things should settle down nicely after that ordeal.

Rooting for the Bad Guys
What, I ask of you, is wrong with rooting for the bad guys? Or rather, not necessarily the bad, but the cynical, the self-centered, and the ones who know what they want and how they are going to get it.
Frankly, I feel that those are the most interesting people of all. They rarely tend to have the same sappy ideals of the protagonist, of love, hope, and all things warm and fuzzy. Instead, these are the radicals, the philosophers, and the ones who make the first move.
I see nothing deplorable in that. Really, what is the difference between Buzz Lightyear and Hitler? Hitler was a brilliant leader. He managed not only to get others to believe what he wanted, but he even got them to act upon those beliefs. Buzz Lightyear was an equally charismatic leader, and ideologically, what really is the difference in the personalities of these two?
We glorify the nice people because their actions tend to benefit society more. Ok, fine, I'll give them that, but at least let me sympathize with the bad guy who is hated by all others and will not be getting the happy ending.
When was the last time you attempted to imagine the glorious history behind these characters in fiction? I will give you my answer: today. In Julius Caesar, I
These guys are the wittiest, the smartest, and most courageous of all, because they chose to cross that line between glory and infamy. That's why I love them.

Knees
It was mentioned by a friend of mine just how weird knees are. And I know it's been months since I last breathed on this page, and I am indeed ashamed. So, I thought I'd do a special on how weird knees are.
It was first brought to my attention during a debate tourney where we discovered a few girls who were trying way to hard to look good, wearing short skirts and too much makeup. Typical debate attire dictates that skirts must be longer than the knees. I think I have discovered why.
The reason is simple: because knees are weird and NOBODY wants to see them. They are rather like your elbows, both of which have to have excess skin because it would be just enough when the respective body part is bent. So, when it is straight, there is this odd little wrinkle or bulge.
However, this is far more prominent in knee. Since the skin is a lot thicker, it is weirder looking, so instead of being just slightly wrinkly as the elbow, it just looks unnatural and rather creepy looking. And it is for this reason that I hate looking at knees.
And with that, I sign off. Have a nice day!

Nothing to Say
Unfortunately, I literally have nothing to say. Anyone want to say something for me?
Hello?
Is anyone out there?
Please?
Tell me someone's listening!
Even when I don't have something to say, tell me someone's LISTENING!!!!!!!!

Flowers
I have always wondered: what is the appeal of flowers? Sure, they are very pretty. And some of them smell good. But why are flowers so popular in society? We seem to have flowers for every occasion, and even the color of the rose itself means something different. I, frankly, do not find flowers so special. In fact, to me, they are rather boring, they serve no practical purpose and die very quickly. I'd rather plant a tree that will last decades as opposed to some flowers that wither shortly after they bloom. Of course, it's rather hard to carry an entire tree to a date. So why aren't we breeding more little trees, like the ones that the Japanese are so fond of? I'm fond of them too, and I think they are much prettier than flowers.
Now, how awesome would it be if someone gave you one of these for Valentine's Day?

Out With the Old!
Well, since it's almost Chinese New Year, I've changed the url to prone2dementia.blogspot.com! Woot! (Actually, I changed it because it seemed that no one could remember the previous url) But this time, it'll actually be permanent.
Speaking of Chinese New Year, it's this Sunday. On Valentine's Day! I remember back in the day in elementary school where Valentine's Day was a day that everyone looked forward to. Everyone would bring in these cute little cards that were folded up and taped shut with a little red heart sticker, and everyone would look forward to giving them out and getting tons of cards and stuffing our faces with candy and not having to learn. But then, the traditions dwindled....the older we got, the more "romantic" Valentine's Day HAD to be, and you couldn't just give cute little cards to your friends of the opposite gender without them getting the wrong idea. I wish we could go back to those days because I REALLY like chocolate. I like reading the cards too, but the chocolate was AMAZING. Chocolate's always amazing, but when people give you chocolate, it's....well, ok, so there's really not much difference. I just like chocolate.
Let's see....what else is up? Hmmmm....I wrote a poem about metal ties for English. I'll have to post it sometime.

To Behead a Crow
We're reading To Kill a Mockingbird for English, which is the insperation for the title of this post. Boo Radley's incident in the first chapter sorta reminds me of this really epic book I read called 3. I really shouldn't say why, because that would give away the biggest twist in the story, and there's a lot of them too. Speaking of epic, apparently there's this teaching program at my local university where they make their sophomores observe classes so they can confirm that this is what they want to teach, and those students are part of the EPIC program. I wanna be an EPIC student, they even write it in all caps. The word caps has so many definitions. Off the top of my head, I can think of the one you where, the ones on bottles and stuff, and the expression "to cap it all off'". What a resourceful word. You know those "I'm from the goverment and I'm here to help you" types? Those are the human resources people. I'm hoping to meet one someday. My friend is going to go vegetarian for a week to see what it's like. I don't think it'll work, because it's not just eating meat that's illegal, eggs, cheese, and milk count too. This whole random writing thing is fun. I don't even really have to think....all I need is a first topic and the rest comes naturally. I should do this more often.

The Inexistence of Tomorrow
You've probably noticed how tomorrow never actually comes, but if you haven't, now you know. However, that means every second that's in the past is yesterday, because at each second some random place in the world is turning into a new day. So, everything except THIS momment, whatever's happening NOW, is yesterday. What's happening NOW is today, but today changes every second, and yet, it's the same....does that make sense? Don't blame me if it doesn't, blame whoever invented this language and the words "yesterday", "today", and "tomorrow" for not thinking of all this stuff first.

Doorknobs
I don't like doorknobs. Especially the kind that are round and you really can't use your elbow to open. You actually have to move all your stuff from both hands to only one, and now you're balancing all your stuff precariously and don't know when it could suddenly fall on your foot and crush your toes, and in the end the stinking door is still closed. Also, even if you do have your stuff balanced, it always seems that when you're in a hurry the door is harder to open. You're trying to hurry to wherever you need to get to, and you're trying to twist the stupid doorknob, only for some reason you can never get the knob to turn enough so your pushing on the door really hard while you think you're turning the door enough, but you're really not, because it's not opening, and it seems really stupid because you're pushing pretty hard on the door and it hurts! And then when you finally get it open, you have the possibility of being late, so you have to speedwalk if you can't run (which is frankly more tiring than running) and on top that your knee or elbow or whatever you were pushing the door with really hurts because it won't open. You see now the hassle of doorknobs, especially when they're round?

.....
Well, I couldn't really think of a good name for this post because it's mostly a free-type sorta thing, and I don't know what's it's about yet. See, I saw that I haven't posted in a long time, so I thought I might as well.....but does anyone even read this anymore? Because I don't think anyone really reads it anymore. But whatever, it looks cool, and now I can say I have my own website. I guess I'll try to post more, but yeah....I'm done for now.

The moon, your hat, and Madagasgar
Madagasgar is an island in the middle of the ocean, next to Africa. It's a VERY big island, MUCH bigger than your hat, but smaller than the moon, no matter how small the moon may apear to be. you see, the moon is MUCH larger than it appears to be. Next time, when you're looking at the moon, you can say in a deep, wise, voice: "The moon is MUCH larger than it appears to be" and people will know that you are very wise and have thought about this a great deal.

Y
I must give the credit of the topic of this post to "The Salmon of Doubt", the book I'm currently reading. It's a compilation of unfinished and/or short articles of the deceased Douglas Adams, author of the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy. Yes. You read that right. There are 5 books in this trilogy by the way. Anyway, Adams mentioned a good point. 'Why' was the only question infuriating and difficult to answer enough that it got a WHOLE letter in the alphabet. He mentioned that it does not go "A, B, C, D, E, F, Who?, When?, Where?" but "U, V, W, X, Why?, Z." You see, other questions are very easy to answer, such as "How long is the flight to Europe?" or "What is the value of "x"?" and "How does the seatbelt get so tight when you slam on the brakes, Daddy?" The answers, respectively, would be "1 night and 3 hours", "figure it out", and "don't ask stupid questions, James". But what happens when one asks you: "Why am I alive?" or "Why are we not dead yet?" and so on, you're stuck aren't you? You have to think about the question for hours, and when you decide you have an answer, you start to question your own thoughts, and you spend more hours mulling over your very exsistence. But wait!!! Adams mentioned a very good answer. The only good answer to these questions. There's even room for it in the alphabet. And Why doesn't even have to be the last letter. Wouldn't it be nice if the alphabet went "U, V, W, X, "Why not?" " instead? So, why not?

Edit
Ok, I found out that anonymus does NOT like breakfast, although I think he/she/it is lying because he/she/it had asked Ming2 whether she had eaten it already out of the pure goodness of his/her/it's heart, instead of asking about some other meal of the day. Frankly I like the dessert part best. As they say, "Life is short", eat dessert first. So, I reccommend all those breakfast lovers out there to convert to dessert lovers. I also reccomment all those atheists, Buddhists, Hinduists, Muslims, and the other "-ists" of some other religion that's not Christianity to conver to Christianity because the solemn truth of it is that God rocks. More than any other of those other fake gods that the wandering hearts and worldly views support.
End Preaching here.
Also, on a less "preachy" note, we got a new fire extinguisher in our apartment building!!! Or at least a new case. Not sure why. The case is white and the cover thingy is red. It's also plasticy...which makes me think that in the event of a fire it would melt. Well, that's better than having to break it yourself...it's very convenient, but unfortunuately since it's plastic it doesn't have one of the "in case of fire, break glass" signs on it, which sucks cuz I really wanted to break that glass...

What IS an Emirp?
Well, I just thought I'd clear something up today. Emirps are my favorite numbers! They rock. Actually, the word rocks. Anyway, an emirp is a number that's prime backwards and forwards, like 187, which is prime, and 781 is prime too, making it an emirp. That's fun to say. Emirp.

Wow, Long Time, No Post
It's been a while! I just didn't feel like there was anything important enough to mention. However, in the Award Ceremony today, I got all the nerd awards. :( I got the Presidents Excellent Learning Stuff Award...or something like that...the Duke TIP-er award, the Congrats-at getting-3rd-place-in-the-ACTM-state-competition Award, the Congrats-on-getting-3rd-place-in-the-school-spelling-bee-award, all the subject exellence awards for my pod, the -participation-in-class award, the teachers-think-you-have-great-things-to-say award, the great-writer award, the the spelling bee award. All the nerd awards. *sigh*.
On a happier note, school's almost over. We have 7th grade celebration tomorrow, and we're playing kickball 1st thing. We only have 16 people in our homeroom, and we're going against Mr. Rhodes's class first, so we're gonna get creamed.
On a not-so-happy note, Sarah W. is moving, Jenny R. is moving, Marisa G. is moving, I'm not going to Woodland, about 3 of my friends are going to Ramay, my summer's gonna be boring, Ming Ming doesn't go to our church much anymore, and many other bad things are happening in Fayetteville. Ya know, Fayetteville's like a train station. People living here have generally moved from somewhere else and/or is moving away. They never stay too long. Or they might miss their train.
Also, anyone know who "Black Wave" is? He/she is another blogger, and he/she commented on my blog, and i have no idea who he/she is. Now here's a REAL stalker.

Well, I've learned from my past mistake--never use green as the font color!
Now, I don't have much to say. Oh! I do. When you play twenty questions. You should ask the questions like thus:
Are there more than five letters in the word?
Does the first letter begin w/ a letter from the front half of the alphebet...etc.
:)
